Well not exactly indecipherable, Roy. The Coppi bikes had a fork crown like some Raleighs and Automotos that consisted of a horizontal tube with caps on the end and the fork blades coming into the bottom side of the tube. You can actually make this out in the photo if you know what you are looking for: < http://users.penn.com/~spokes/histor1.jpg>

Now whether or not the San Pellegrino team rode Coppi bikes after Coppi's death is another matter. Gino Bartalli (Director Sportif) made (or had made) a line of bikes under his name too.
