For the benefit of some of us new to this controversy. Can someone put a
timeline on all of this. It would be great to know when the bikes changed
hands as one method of telling which version one would have. I am thankful
that I am working on restoring a vintage 50s Hetchins so I am outside of
the time line, "Or am I ?". Another observation. The Schwinn name has
changed hands several times in recent years. Some collectors only collect
bikes up to the period where it was family owned while others cherish
their 1999 Sting Ray and Black Phantom reproductions as if they were made
by Ignatz himself. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone no matter where you are.
