An update: In the January 1964 issue of Sporting Cyclist (GB magazine) there is a half page ad for the Brooks "Professional" saddle. With the magazine's two month lead time that would make this reference November 1964 (the previous months of the magazine show no similar ad).

Anyone seen some reference earlier than this?
