19 pounds for the entire Volumetrica equipped bike- Thatsa lighta! My 83 (Tesch built) Masi GC, a mere 54cm., is about 23 pounds (bath scale) equipped with Nitto stem/bars, remainder being SR groupo, (except temporary nylon pedals that are lighter than the SL that will replace them.) Tesch said he was sure it was all Columbus SL. That can mean only one thing. I've got to loose 10 and get back down to 150lbs just to have a sporting chance to be able to catch Chuck on his Volumetrica!

Actually the Masi Volumetrica 3V (thin-wall oversize straight gauge tubing with internal fitting investment cast lugs) is on topic as it came out in the early-mid 1980s. I have one of the early ones made in Italy. Word on the street was that they were stiff/harsh and heavy. Mine (56 cm) with a 50th Anniversary group and sew-ups is slightly under 19 pounds and the way I would describe the ride quality is that it feels like the best Columbus SL tubed bike ever.
