Venues: La Casita del Arroyo, 177 S. Arroyo Blvd., Pasadena -- Built in 1933, this "little house" is constructed of stones from the famous Pasadena Arroyo and wood from the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Velodrome that had been built inside the Rose Bowl Stadium for the Olympics. It's nestled in the rustic Arroyo Seco close by the Rose Bowl, an area noted for its 1900s Arts & Crafts Movement bugalows. The architect was Myron Hunt who also designed the Rose Bowl Stadium, Huntington Hotel [now Ritz-Carlton], Pasadena City Hall and Pasadena City Library.

Saturday, October 4: 10:00 am Symposium at La Casita del Arroyo, 177 S. Arroyo Blvd., Pasadena (doors unlocked at 10 am, set up chairs, etc). 12:00 pm Catered Lunch will be provided. 02:30 pm We are to be out of La Casita (put away chairs, clean up at 2:15). 03:30 pm Vintage bike ride from Brookside Park, Aquatic Center parking lot. 07:30 pm Meet for dinner at Buca di Beppo, 80 West Green St., Pasadena 626.792.7272
Sunday, October 5: 07:30 am Set up bikes for Vintage Bike Show at Brookside Park, south end behind Aquatic Center next to pool (show starts at 11:00 am). 09:00 am Vintage bike ride from Brookside Park, Aquatic Center parking lot. 11:00 am Start of BBQ (food & beverage provided), Vintage Bike Show and Parts Exchange. 03:00 pm Announcement of results of Vintage Bike Show judging.
Notes: Friday's Framebuilder Symposium: Bring a frame you have built if possible for show and tell. The Bike Display on Saturday will consist of bikes used in conjunction with the talks at the Symposium. Please remember to bring a bike stand to display your bike (or buy one from me). There will be people present to guard your bikes at the picnic area while you are on the ride. Judging of the bikes will be done by the entrants, and their first, second and third choice for best bike at the show will be tallied. Any criteria for judging the bikes can be used, however you cannot vote for your own bike. The Parts Exchange will be conducted in a low-key manner (just one or two boxes of material, preferrably one) since we will be in a public picnic area of a city park.
Velo Rendezvous Entry Info: Entry fee is $75 for three days that includes a catered lunch Friday and Saturday, BBQ Lunch Sunday plus admission to all events. Late entry fee after September 26 is $85.
