Subject: [CR]650B tires coming

Friends of the 650B wheel: An update on my message about 650B tires. I have succeeded in getting an order in to Mitsuboshi in Japan, and they will be arriving in a couple weeks. If you have already contacted me about them, don't contact again. I will let you know when they arrive and how much money to send.

To clarify, since at least one person got it wrong, these are Mitsuboshi Trimline 650 x 38B Skinside tires, a high quality Japanese made tire, which I have used for many years. Better than any Taiwan tire and I like them better than Michelin or Wolber tires too. They do not fit the more commonly found 650C size rims used on modern small wheel women's bikes and Triathlon racing bikes, etc, for which you usually only see 20 and 23 width tires, nor do they fit mountain bike rims. The ETRTO number is 584-38. They are for older French, British, and Japanese touring bikes, and the occasional American bike. Also, there was a Raleigh USA touring bike sold in the 80s that took this size.

The price is not firm yet until I know what it will cost on this end, but will be in the neighborhood of $40 to the general public and $32 to list members. If you want some and have not contacted me let me know how many you would like. If you contacted me but thought they were for 650C bikes, let me know that you can't use them.

Cheers
