This is a very good idea. A while ago, I rode my prewar paramount with the Sturmey ASC* 3-speed fixed with the road crowd, and did notice that their jerseys got dimmer and dimmer after the first couple of miles. Of course, it was just my mistake in choosing the wrong sprocket that morning, couldn't be due to any deficit in strength or anything like that....

*It's actually a late ('53) hub. A nice feature is that the treaded driver can be replaced with the S/A AW notched driver, so it can use recent S/A sprockets that go on and off just by removing a circular spring retainer. Doesn't mean I do it often...
