I surprised that Dale hasn't said anything yet, but there's plenty of hotels/motels in the Greensboro area, it's just that the Battlefield Inn (sounds like a great place for a honeymoon) is booked. The Battlefield Inn is about 3 blocks away from Dale's shop, and apx. two miles to the Lewis rec. center. It's just cool to hang out in the lobby and watch the bikes come through, but you could stay anywhere and just drop in before events. It's nice to get up early and go out on dawn patrol, and get back before breakfast with those who took part in the late night bull sessions.

My favorite moment: Sitting at a table in the lobby munching Krispy Kremes with Brian Baylis, Richard Sachs and Chris Kvale talking about framebuilding and bikes.

... think of Walter Mitty** hanging with Chuck Yeager, John Glenn, and Neil Armstrong talking about flying... ;^)
