My wife and I, too, met across the top tube, as it were. I admired her hot-rodded Raleigh Sports and knackered Basso at my offices bikerack days before I ever laid eyes upon her. She had to track me down for some work function and was thrilled to find a Paramount track bike leaning against the file cabinets. We happily found ourselves to be compatible on bikes and off. Nowadays, our riding is mellower--or would be, if our youngest daughter wasnt always trying to throw me off my bike by jumping up and down on the Kidback. She takes after her mother, while her sister, who sails off the road whenever something interesting catches her eye, is obviously my progeny.
