The Carnac Carlits are also available from Deeside Cycles in the UK. They are pretty easy to work with regarding mailorder to the USA. To see the shoes, just goto: http://www.deesidecycles.com/shoes.htm

I have a pair, but haven't had much chance to try them out. The sole is a hard plastic with ridges, which isn't too bad. I also am a fan of the Diadora Voyager as a walkable riding shoe. The sole is a soft rubber which also has a shallow slot in it, so it does a good job of grabbing the pedal.

I'm also still waiting for a chance to try out the Detto 2000's with the wood sole that I got from BC! Maybe with the Raleigh Team that I just built up? (gotta wait for the snow to melt, tho....)

So many shoes, so little time.
