Part of my brain says I shouldn't get into this quagmire. Perhaps it makes sense to start with the definition of "reproduction" as it relates to bicycles (and not people, animals, etc.!).

Webster says: reproduction: something reproduced: COPY copy: an imitation, or reproduction, of an original work

Therefore, for an item to be a reproduction it seems to me that ALL aspects of the original would have to me imitated. Where there are variations it ceases to be a reproduction in the true sense. My opinion. Don't kill me.
