Then on the other hand, I hit a steer doing about 50 just north of Globe,
Arizona in 1985. Went airborn. Came down with a thud. Buckled both front
quarter panels and smushed the A-frames on the front suspension. My La
PreAlpina stuck to the roof and my Laing Tourer was still on it and undamaged
as I came in for a landing. And that was after owning it for 12 years.
