Strange, hundreds of alloy fixed cups later and I've never dented one. I guess I'm just lucky. The denting of alloy cups comes from having tools that don't fit. The "special tool" I use to hold the wrench on the cup is my fingers. But as I stated in my earlier post if you're not comfortable with using your finder buy a Stein tool.
