That was my first guess too. The other option is it could have been one of the mid-80s bikes built for the Goodwill Games or Olympics that were farmed out.

It's not your mind fading. That looks like a decal set or the '90-'91 Raleigh Competition to me. I built up a couple hundred of them at the time so they're quite stuck in my head. I think all the Technium main frames were bonded and this one's brazed. My take on this it's one of those frames like we talked about a few weeks back that was farmed. I know most of them were built in the US, but I though some listmember said that some were built in Italy. I think someone put new decals on an older frame and polished it up. Of course it could also be something completely other too.
