Boy, what a weird day today. Tornado warnings in Atlanta, we appear to be bombing some people in Iraq and I was behind on the CR list for about 5 days and in catching up, was witness to a rather embarrassing conflict between list members.

Classic content - well its raining, and I've been forced to walk a lot this week for excercise. I'll ride my Trek tomorrow and toss the chain when I'm done. It needs to be replaced anyway, and no amount of cleaning is going to get Stone Mountain granite grit out of it.

More classic content... Brian says:
>Brian Baylis
>La Mesa, CA
>Going to meet Pergolizzi for a ride later today. I think I'll take the
>Montelatici out for a spin.

Ok, I confess, I am now the proud owner of one of those little Italian beauties, thanks to Matteo and Stevan. I plan it build it up with the Campy NR group currently residing in my bedroom closet.

Its supposed to be the twin to Brian's, and I've been bugging him to send me a picture of his. I still haven't gotten mine yet : ) Get a camera Brian!

Anyway, another list member and I have been discussing what are appropriate colors and styling for Italian classic road frames from that particular era. I believe my Montelatici is 60s? I know Italian paint jobs from that time weren't exactly wonderful, I remember the Cinelli I borrowed as not being nearly as nice as my Trek when it came to paint durability.

I know the Italian Cycling Gods will not strike me dead for using early 80s NR, but I'm hoping my color selection is also not too outrageous. I was thinking a medium bright blue with a canary yellow head tube and some canary yellow lug detailing?

So what colors did all those bikes become? I know Stevan is putting together some info for the CR site about them, and a few listmembers have them, I'd love to see how they all came out!
