The last shipment of TA pedals from France all came with a note in the box stating that the pedal threads were french, but were compatible with BSC. The axles on those pedals all were marked BSC. The pedals all thread into TA Zephyr BSC cranks with absolutely no perceptible play. In fact, you can't spin them in by hand, you must use a wrench on the axle flats. This is as you would expect for a European BSC thread. The TA pedals are a slightly loose fit in Japanese BSC cranks, as are all European BSC pedals.

So, TA is putting a note in the box, but it doesn't seem that they are shipping a different product.
