Understood - but it means that this past Friday's Squadra Coppi (of Arlington, Virginia) morning club ride was a truly historic event. Fellow list member Giacomo Bellora and I were both on the ride and both using toe straps on older high end bikes - Giacomo on his Ciocc and I was on my Witcomb. By the way, my Witcomb has Maillard pedals which I previously believed to be English threaded, although they were originally used with a Nervar crankset. So who knows? I'll measure them when I switch to Look pedals for the summer. (Supposedly the Looks are also English threaded but the axles say D and G so I no longer know what to think about all this...)
