They still were selling ROMEO branded bikes (now aluminum), jerseys. It appears their domain name has expired; perhaps they have changed it. The store was fairly sparse, perhaps they are no longer in business? This was their website: http://www.romeobicycleshop.com/. There was a guy in Georgia (I think) importing their aluminum frames. In Italy it seems every store carries bikes with their own name (made by who knows?). >>

Thanks, Angel, for that report.. There has been a fellow in Wilmington, North Carolina importing those bikes for perhaps a year & a half.. . One of the regional teams has been riding them for a year or so..

Their advertising uses a few references to their cycling heritage.. Looks like they were a big deal at one time... Now the bikes look like they could be China-made with Italian decals. Maybe not, but who could can tell? Totally anonymous under the paint.

I was courted rather heavily by the importer to sell them in CDO and the guy seems like a nice fellow, but they were Pinarello priced (high) and, to my eye, particularly boring and unattractive paint and decal wise. On the other hand, someone else might think they were way cool.

The only vintage content in this post is maybe to say that little vintage content remains in Romeo bikes....
