I have just seen the photos that Peter Paine sent me of the 30's trike that he has for sale (see his CR listing from yesterday). It is absolutely wonderful and I can only highly recommend it to anybody interested in cycling esoterica. The fact that the rear end unbolts (on chainstays and at seatlug) makes for comparatively inexpensive shipping costs too. Shipping costs are usually what kills the purchase of any trike by North American collectors, but Peter's trike can be shipped for virtually the same price as a bike. So, anybody looking to add a truly 'different' ride should contact Peter. I have absolutely no stake in the sale of this trike apart from the fact that I would love to see more riders be able to enjoy the vicarious pleasuresof trike riding here in North America.
