A few fond memories from my rookie year at the Cirque:
-Sitting in Dale's backyard and dreaming of having my frameshop in my own backyard. -Sitting next to Larry Black and his infamous shirt on Friday night's dinner. If you haven't seen it then my description will pale in comparison. -Forgetting my pedals and riding with tennis shoes and toe clips. Grant, who's a proponent of this M.O., was pleased. -Listening to the speakers on Saturday. Peter Johnson was a treat. -Meeting E-ritchie, Peter Weigle and Brian Baylis in the flesh. My inspirations, along with Chris Kvale, to do what I do. -Riding in the quiet NC countryside. -Being surrounded by a so many bike geeks like myself that it felt normal. -Then, of course, there's the young lovelies working in Dale's shop offering me smoothies. I bet nobody else got that offer.
I had a great time and won't hesitate to go back. Thanks Dale!
