In the Csuka interview made clear the artisanship involved with a constructeur bike. Like a set Nervex lugs, you can just braze them up untouched or you can spend hours filing and re-shaping them to a state of art. Esge fender and some Nitto racks make a functional bike, sort of like a good Ti bike, but the level of art involved is much less compared to Brian doing a million file strokes on a frame.
