CRs:
I first met Marcel Calborne in May or June of 1979 when I first moved to Southern California. I was doing the tour of local bicycle bicycle shops, and when I visited his Manhattan Beach shop for the very first time (with my Campy NR/SR equipped Richard Sachs in hand) the first words out of his mouth were "Who the hell sold you that piece of s**t!"
The small 3" x 5" card by his cash register also had the hand written inscription "What do you want and why do you bother me?"
I recall several other individuals, some of them long time customers, who eventually received the same 'charitable' treatment.
If you do visit him, wear a flameproof suit and carry a mortar launcher, just in case.
