Yeah, Deer racing is the bee's knees. Earlier this spring I experienced a similar situation on my D.M.Hetchins Scorpion Bonum. I was piddling along, wondering why I was dumb enough to go for a ride on such a chilly day, when a pair of does started to cross the road, saw me & bolted off parallel to the shoulder. I accepted the challange & managed to stay on their "rear wheel" for about 100 yds. At which point they got bored & bolted off into the brush. I lost the sprint, but decided it really wasn't too cold to be riding.
