I got this tandem from another list member as a project and after getting it rolling it's just too big for Mitz and I. We've ridden it a few times and it's a fine Sunday rider, but just doesn't fit. The only work left to do is to run a cable and housing from the stokers brake lever to the rear drum hub. I replaced the original brakes with modern canti-brakes so you could stop the bike. Beyond that it's darn classic. I must say the fork was a bit bent and I had it straightened since it's French threaded. There was a list member who can get an inexpensive full chrome replacement fork for it, though I don't remember who it was.

The dimensions are C-to-C (Seat tube x Top tube), the Captains area is 58cm x 58cm and the Stokers 53cm x 58cm. It needs some love and cleaning. There's a good bit of surface rust and lots of scratches in the paint, but it should clean up and touch up fine. Here are some pics of it: http://homepage.mac.com/monkeylad/PhotoAlbum15.html

The one rub in this deal is I will not ship it, except maybe by Amtrak, I really don't want to hassle with packing. I can arrange some delivery or you can pick it up in Santa Barbara. I'm going to try and get to the Rose Bowl ride next Sunday and could drop it there. I may also be in the East Bay (SF) area in mid-August. I've put a lot into getting this thing running, but it needs to go so I'm selling it for less than I have in it at $125. If you have something you'd like to trade instead (classic or not) just ask. I'm interested in all kinds of stuff. If you have any questions just ask. enjoy, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives SB, CA
