Supposedly the composite disks shatter.
I had one I contemplated putting on my old Santana tandem to replace a clunky but effective Shimano unit.
I called Phil and they refused to discuss the unit or provide the instruction sheet. They simply said they do not support of give any advice about the disk brake. Sounds like a lawsuit settlement condition to me.
So I stuck with the good ol' Shimano.
