Zeus was making bicycle components from the 20s on...I am quite sure there is some of there own innovations and ideas. I believe every company has copied other companies at some point in their histories. After all, SImplex was making derailleurs in the early days and then Campy began making similar looking devices...Oh no...did they copy? or did they just improve on the design?? I like Zeus components and all I can say is too bad there are not more choices around nowadays...I like campy products also. We must appreciate these companies for all there little innovations along the way.

Has the relationship between Zeus and Campagnolo been discussed on this
list
in the past? I have always wondered if Zeus and Campy had a licensing
arrangement, or if it just that the Italian patent lawyers sent out from
Vicenza all disappeared going through the Basque. (So now you're going to
tell us that it's a shame Campy stole their designs from Zeus, right
Jerry?)
