Subject: [CR]Campy BB question

I am gradually replacing components on my '73 Ron Cooper with ones more authentic to its origin. I am installing a Campy NR crankset.

Given that this frame is all English standard, and assuming that everything is more or less "normal", what length bottom bracket spindle do I need?

Second, can I use a "modern" Campy sealed BB with the same length spindle? I read on Sheldon Brown's page that all spindles use a 2 degree taper, but that the thickness of the tapered ends varies. Are all Campy spindles made to the same standard?

Thanks for your help.
