Thanks to all who came to the event. It is the people and, of course, the bikes that they share that make these events so much fun. With any luck, we can plan the next one far enough in advance to broaden the attendance and avoid conflicts such as charity rides, grandmother's birthdays, etc. Given that most of the attendees probably won't be making it out to Chuck's Velorendevous, this served as a bit of a palliative.

It wasn't until I went to stow all of my bikes away after everyone left that I realized how much help it was to have Mark Poore here to set them out in the morning. I forgive him for his "Ohmigod" exclamation on seeing my basement the evening before the event. My dear wife was more amused than anything else and thought that everyone was very pleasant. At least I didn't end up with any more bikes than I started with that day.

Wish that I had tried Dan's ASC-equipped JT but there'll be other occasions. Perhaps he'd like to do a temporary swap for that Viking path racer... I did try Steve's Cambio Corsa-equipped Benotto. I suspect that one would need to ride that awhile to gain any fluency with shifting but it did nothing to quell my desire to have one. Great that he brought it down for us see and try.

Solstice get together anyone?
