I went to the local Swap Meet this morning ( I've been a regular since '65). At a space just inside the gate, a guy has usually 12 or 15 inexpensive bikes for sale, and a table with parts for sale. Included were two center-pull brakes: one labeled DURA-ACE, the other labeled TOURNEY. Both are front, and they are identical in every way. Neither has ever been mounted (affixed?). We settled on $8 for both. My find was just days after a note appeared on the List stating the fact that the earliest DURA-ACE brakes were center pulls.
Odd. Very Odd.
