By the way, I FINALLY finished assembling the Bates frames for my wife and me and had their maiden voyage on Saturday (since we couldn't make it to Pasadena). The bikes rode fantastic, smooth as glass. My wife has only experienced a Seven Axiom on the road (she's had much more experiance off-road) and was amazed at how different the Bates was - more stable and yet stiffer than her titanium frame. Now she can't wait to do some tours on the Bates. Planning on taking some pictures this week to share.
