Interesting . Odd .

Somehow I never would have expected to see a mixte frame , from a fairly large English builder , made in the 1950's .

But , from what little can be seen from the small photo ( of the WRONG side ! ) , it certainly looks 1950's to me .

But hey , what do I know ?

And Raleigh bought Carlton in 1960 . So although a few more Carlton's did slip out bearing the Carlton name , after the purchase of Carlton by Raleigh . . . Basically , the bicycle shouldn't be newer than 1960 .

No connection here , with me , other than that I do have an affection for Carlton bicycles . Let me know if you find any with 23.5 or 24 inch frames .
