A brace of very nice Mercian frames, offered pre ebay:
61cm Road frame. 531. nervex pro lugs. Frame number 40165 Fully wrapped over seat stays. 61cm C-T. Red (very dark orange?) with cream headtube and cream barber pole bands on seat tube, 7 bands, gold edged, with grey lug lining. Original paint.
Chrome fork crown and three quarter fork blades. half chromed rear triangle (both sides). Campag 1010 drop outs. Fender clearance. RH cable guide on BB shell, LH stop for front mech cable. Oiler point on BB shell. Frame & fork is in very good condition. The only fault is the damaged 531 transfer. $440
57cm Track frame. Dark orange (light red). Frame number 1097. Cream head tube and large cream band on seat tube, gold edge. Cut back Vigorelli lugs, creamed edged. Full round fork blades and chainstays, Campagnolo track dropouts, fully wrapped over seat stays. Full chrome forks, with crown edged in white. Full chrome chainstays and seat stays chromed up to the bridge. Again the 531 transfer is damaged but the rest is very good. Paint has faded a little, but still looks great and would probably come back with some paint "cleaner" and polish, again the original paint. Fork crown is drilled so a front brake can be fitted and used on the road. Nice wide crown and chainstays would allow for wider than Piste tyres to be used (good frame for grass track racing!). $300.
