Subject: [CR]New Campagnolo web site, english language

The author of the new Japanese Campagnolo web site, has submitted an article (in English) to Vintage Bicycle Quarterly on the development of the first Gran Sport derailleur. It details the different models and changes over time until the "series production" derailleur came out in 1953. While it does not include all the detail of the web site (changes of screw shapes, etc.) - I could fill the entire magazine with an article on these derailleurs! - it is a valuable resource. It will appear in the next issue of VBQ, out in early December. The article also will include Daniel Rebour drawings of these derailleurs, plus an article on the development of parallelogram derailleurs in general, which also examines the question whether Tullio Campagnolo copied the French Nivex parallelogram derailleur (which appeared in 1947), and what an Italian inventor, who patented a paralellogram derailleur in 1941, had to do with it all.

As Steven Maaslands pointed out, the amazing web site can be seen at http://www1.ocn.ne.jp/~campa/
