Crossers don't follow trends? Thats a bold statement........
Shimano has a set of Canti brakes at the 105 level. they cost around $40 a wheel and work with std road levers and not V levers. They most resemble the Avids. Paul has 2 types of Canti brakes: the Neo Retros (Mafac styling) and their touring cantis which look like Shimano Alivio brakes (sorry Paul,,,,) Both sell for about $100 a wheel.
Avid has a couple of different Canti brakes in different price ranges.
