     Like many older French bike parts, these are desireable items in Japan. I can't explain why that is the case for this particular derailleur, but it is. Perhaps it is because these pieces were used on "budget" bikes made by Singer, Herse, et al.
     Anyway, I think another one of these derailleurs recently went for nearly $250. I suspect that caused people who thought of their Luxe Competitions as worthless to dig them out and offer them on eBay.
