This thread could ruffle some feathers...I vote for the recently discussed CLB2 centre-pull brakes (bolt-on) and a Brooks Swallow saddle. I'm also partial to Hi-E hubs...how about Mavic SSC rims? I've owned these examples but there are so many components I haven't had the pleasure of using.

I'm going to stop there and leave the rest for the list to argue over. (whaddayamean Suntour Superbe derailleurs are better than Super Record!!!)
