"Right you are. The stuff was el primo in every sense of the word. From the long-arm triple derailleurs to the professional track equipment used in grueling Keirin races. The track gruopo was a nice piece and I stil, have a few in boxes. Take a peek around and see what's available in the pedals while I take a look-see myself."

I was under the impression that the various iterations of the Superbe line were purely for racing...thus, there was no long-cage Superbe rear derailleur. If you were talking about the Cyclone or the VGT-Luxe, then I agree. I rode a VGT-Luxe through thousands of miles of rain, snow, mud, never maintaining it in any way. when I finally removed it from the old Falcon on which it served so well, it was still working as well as the day I bought it. I'd nominate the VGT-Luxe for the title of best wide- ratio friction touring derailleur ever made. Totally bullet-proof, and a great-shifting derailleur.
