Jerry, I don't know when the last Mercier's were build but I'm certain that the last Nervar cranks were made in 1985 (plus-or-minus one year). Those later Nervars used a mildly offset design and were semi-aero in appearance. I'm surprised your's has the 122mm BCD. I have one from '84 and it has a 128mm BCD. On the other hand, it may be that they made both sizes simultaneously and it was merely the luck of the draw as to which version was used on a particular bicycle.
