I thought I should mention to the CR group that "Bicycles & Tricycles: A Classic Treatise on Their Design and Contruction" by Archibald Sharp has just been reprinted by Dover Publications. This book was originally printed in the late 1800's and it remains an excellent and somewhat eclectic test on the engineering/mechanics of the bicycle. This text was reprinted by MIT Press in the 1980s, but went out of print about four years ago and it had remained a very hard book to locate. If you search under "Dover Publications" using Google, you will pull up the Dover Store, which you can order from directly. If this does not appeal, try you local book store to special order. Also note that this text tends to be a bit technical, so it may not appeal to all, but certainly quite a few CR members will enjoy it.
