There's a partially cannibalized frame at one of my bike haunts which has always intrigued me. The bike has a full 531 butted decal, lugged road frame, and a sticker for a headbadge that simply reads Phil in script. F&R dropouts are Simplex and it has a TA triple crank with Cinelli bars and stem, Campy headset. Bike looks more english or american rather than french style and it appears to be from 70's to early-80's. Monochrome metalflake paint appears original, thick and well done but nothing fancy 'cept chrome tips. Couldn't find a serial number either.
Could it be a Phil Brown or even Phil Wood? Any ideas from the list?
