There is a three page chart that Campagnolo made up to indentify all of their axles over the years (the chart is from 1983). I have reproduced the chart in the Catalogo Campagnolo reprint I sell.
There is the following on "Identifications of Markings":
""SL", "Z" may be found on some old axles. They were production codes and have no significance in identification."
