I'm becoming concerned my reputation a a Francophile is in in jeopardy. After all, in the last several months I've finished building up a new Bates, almost finished a Caygill, and acquired a Hetchins frame, a 50's Bates frames, an Epgrave frame and a compete 1975 Raleigh Pro. Now the Falcon. Have I gone over completely to the Dark Side (of the Channel)?

But I cling to hope. I did buy the mid-80's Mercier Bordeau-Paris (for a grand total of $150) and am replacing the Campy Triomphe on it with Mavic. Also am buying a Peugeot PY-10 from Kim Klakow, if the slow mail from Germany will ever get it here. Finally, bought a strange Peugeot PFN-10 which had been outfitted with a complete excellent Campy NR gruppo. Turned out the frame was a bit beat, so I completely tore it down for the NR parts, but my Francophile heart was in the right place for buying it.

Forgive me Father for I have sinned. My penance was to buy two Peugeots and a Mercier (plus a couple of Hail Marys). Perhaps I'm not yet damned to hell.

BTW, if anyone wants a slightly beat, but completely useable 53 cm Peugeot PFN-10 frameset, it's yours for the shipping cost.

Regards,

Jerry Moos
