Cleaned some of the accumulated grime and dirt. Head set top lock nut is stampes as Stronglight Competition. No idea if that is original nor period correct.

I have a 1967 raleigh competition frameset, presumably with original headset which is BRAMPTON (and it says so inside on the crown race or something).

This is a very wimpy headset, about half the stack height of a campy one, and the bottom race has very thin diamond-shaped flanges(?) i guess, which is probably the most distinctive part of the headset. These flanges are almost "sharp". By comparison, the campy headset has rounded bulbous races with a channel in them, engraved "brev campagnolo" all the way around.
