Dave asked: "to keep or save?" relative to the bike shown in the photos visible at : http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=757112

The bike is a typical bike from the late 60's or early 70's made for the French or European home market. I doubt if it was ever officially exported by Peugeot to the US market. You can verify this by simply checking the wheel size, if they are either 650B or 700C rims, they were made for Europe. My parents bought themselves a variant of this same bike about 6 months before we left France to return to North America in 1973. On the positive side, it does have some nice features, such as the front chainguard that covers the front derailleur, the locking front fork (that is the device hidden underneath the flip-up cap that can be seen on the rear side of the bottom headlug), the carriers and mudguards and cantilevers. On the negative side, the materials used are not terribly high-class or high-quality: steel frame, steel rims (?), plastic brake levers, delrin Simplex derailleurs, Normandy hubs with wingnuts...

I truly doubt that it will ever have extreme collector value because of the lowly hi-ten steel frame, but it does make for a very nice and interesting bike. I vote to keep.
