Subject: [CR]TJ Quick NOT TJ Cycles...

An interesting and fairly rare frame has just turned up british Ebay - Collectables/Transportation/Cycles.

For those of you who like 60/70s good quality hand-built frames which are well put together without being over elaborate, there is a 22" T J Quick of London -Item No 2221435378. As I recall Tommy Quick was reputed to build a fine frame and was buillding until quite recently - perhaps is still building. I think that his shop was quite near central London, just south of the river, but prhaps Mike Butler or one of those southern British gentlemen could provide more specific information as I am just a rough northern peasant, and better aquainted with the Bob Jacksons, Pennines etc.

The frame is a light tourer/ fast day-bike type of model with provision for rear panniers, Mafac studs etc. Looks like a late 70s type of frame. In good nick the reserve is only £65/ $115

TJQ cycles has nothing to do with TJ cycles owned by Trevor Jarvis, the "Flying Gate" man.

I have no interest in the frame, do not know the seller... just thought it looked a very pleasant job.
