I could be wrong here, but I think the 9 tooth wheel were for 1968-9 derailleurs only, and they went to 10 teeth for 1970. IIRC, just about ALL of the 9 tooth wheels broke.

I dropped the Campy bushed wheels ages ago. The best shifting NR I have has a Benelux ball bearing wheel in the upper position (it has GIANT teeth that GRAB the chain from the middle and MOVE it. No gentle coaxing from the chain, just POSITIVE ACTION. Campy derailleurs shift a lot better if you get rid of the bushing jockey wheels. An easy swap is to use the ball bearing C Record wheels. Paint them gray if you don't like the color.

I'd suggest if you're going to make 9 tooth wheels, make them so they look stock but have ball bearings. I'll buy some.
