Mi amici, my collection is born out of my masochistic desire to race (my mid-life crisis). I am only a recent collector of some OT bikes (though I have a bunch of bicycle racing memoribilia including trading cards, models, ashtrays, miniatures, and games--including the electric racing game that was a hit at last year's Cirque).

il mio bici... 1970's Coppi-Fiorelli (as a fixie) 1980 DeRosa (fixie for now) in metallic orange... beat to shit but rides like a charm 1982 Ciocc World 77 (fully pantographed, full of mojo and italian cool), looks brand new thanks to help from Wayne Bingham 1992 cannondale Track (ugly but stiff and fast fast fast...helped me win dozens of track medals) 1992 cannondale TT bike (an exercise in pain management w/ little wheels and Alu fork) 1997 Mongoose MTB with Ritchey Pro Logic tubing (last of the steel MTBs) 1999 DeRosa Planet (custom painted by Dale's buddy Jay Schiavione in my team colors) my primary race machine....called the prettiest bike in my peloton--40+) 2000 VooDoo Wazoo cross, (also custom respray by Jay to match my jersey) actual bike used by Jeremy Powers at the 2000 World Cross Champs (Jrs) and it helped me win two VA State Championship Bronze Medals.

la mia moglie..(hers) 1977 Grandis (as a fixie) 2000 Serotta Ti Concour 2001 Giant "Eddie Bauer" MTB (don't laugh, the frame was cheap and lovingly assembled by Wayne Bingham)

Sorry, I ain't no Horton. Just a budget minded racer (I HATE buying anything at full price). There is a list of frames long trashed by meeting pavement or plain worn out. Someday when the race bug dies, more collectibles to come....Italiano of course.
