I don't know if the "geograghic borders" are what make the various bikes
special. I do know that it made the various bikes different. There are many
members on this list that can take one look at a lug and tell you where a
bike was made, and sometimes when it was made!
Most of the "modern" bikes are interchangeable. Leave the ddecals off and
their owners couldn't tell them apart.
