And I'll do it right!

Disclaimer: I quit riding with clips and straps in 1992 when I discovered the joys of the SPD pedal, and don't actually ride any of my bicycles, even the really old ones, with anything but modern clipless devices. Previous to that, in my naivety, I was pleased when NYLON straps came out because they didn't seem to mind getting wet. Those in that embarrassing picture were the first straps I'd threaded in more then a decade, and like the pain of childbirth, had conveniently forgotten what it was like.

So if someone would send me a picture as I am a pictorial kind of gal, I'll correct the problem before I embarrass myself further.
