Subject: [CR]RE:Barale (Italy) frameset anyone ???

I just picked up a "Grandeur" Super Star. It has somewhat ornated chromed lugs, white finish, foil decals, simplex prestige, cottered cranks. I orginally thought it was french but I found what I believe is the remanent of a "made in argentina" decal. I can't find any info on this brand on the net. Anyone ever hear of them?

In response to: Hello,

Saw a frameset currently being auctioned on eBay that i haven't heard  of.

Barale !!! Kinda cheap & with no bids but it appears to have had a hard  life from what i see. Either way it looks for real and Italian to me  eyes. I like the idea of owning good quality framesets few have or  recall (tarting up my second Montagner right now) & covet Kim Klakow's  Mondial's. Can anyone expand info of the Barale marque?

Out of curiousity does anybody actually have a Calzone frameset (i have  a buyer in waiting - Italian of course). I once owned a Cavalera (Vi)  too. I know there are hundreds if not thousands of frame manufacturers  just in Italy that weren't directly exported but variety marques on the  List is always cool.

No relation to seller unless we draw back to Adam & Eve or Homo-Erectus  or Hal9000 etc etc

Anyone have a frameset they believe nobody else has or is the only  example of it's Marque remaining? Home made is cool.
